Janet and Adolph Rosengarten Internship Program

This internship offers a six- to nine-month immersive experience for individuals seeking to build a career in horticulture. Designed for emerging horticulturists, the program provides hands-on professional training embedded in daily garden practice. Interns work closely with Chanticleer’s accomplished garden staff as full members of the garden team.

The application deadline is December 1. Virtual interviews are held in mid-December.

The Chanticleer USA Christopher Lloyd Scholarship at Great Dixter

This scholarship offers a one-year immersive experience for a North American gardener, with 11 months at Great Dixter in East Sussex, England, and one month at Chanticleer. Designed for U.S. citizens who have completed horticultural training, the scholarship provides hands-on education in design and garden management skills, inspiring the next generation of innovative gardeners.

Chanticleer Scholarship in Professional Development

This program supports public garden professionals seeking academic or non-academic leadership training, as well as travel to meet leaders in the field. Designed for individuals currently in (or aspiring to) leadership roles in public gardens, the program encourages creative approaches to building strong, mission-driven garden leadership.
